SACKVILLE, NB — Mount Allison University and the Mount Allison Faculty Association (MAFA) have agreed to extend the parties’ current collective agreements by two years.
The extension of the current collective agreements includes both full and part-time MAFA members, representing approximately 210 faculty members, librarians, instructors, and teachers. The extension will see the agreements continue in place until June 30, 2024.
“Over the last two years the University has expanded its academic programs significantly, thanks in large part to the work and vision of our faculty members and academic staff,” says University Provost and Vice-President, Academic and Research Dr. Jeff Hennessy. “I would like to thank the MAFA executive for their leadership around the extension of the current collective agreement.”
The extension of the collective agreements allows for consistency and continuity in academic activities on campus.
“This type of collaboration allows for continued growth in many areas including program development and new learning opportunities for students,” says Mount Allison University President and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Jean-Paul Boudreau. “I take this opportunity to thank our full-time and part-time faculty and academic support staff for all the innovative ways they have stepped up this year managing change all the while advancing our students’ development each and every day.”
